De briefing
Het Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds is een organisatie die muziekinstrumenten in bruikleen geeft aan talentvolle musici. Het fonds is gevestigd in het oudste bakstenen pand van Amsterdam, nabij de Oude Kerk.
De opgave: breng goed werklicht.
De uitdaging
Het houten plafond van de achterkamer heeft 16e-eeuwse Renaissance beschilderingen met sierlijke ranken en arabesken (bloemachtige voorstellingen), die door door de zware balklagen nauwelijks opvielen.
Het eindresultaat
De medewerkers hebben goed, individueel instelbaar taaklicht, ook geschikt voor inspectie van instrumenten. Met respect voor het verleden en gebruik van omgekeerde wall wash lichttechniek worden de unieke historische details zichtbaar gemaakt.

“De verlichting van ons pand aan de Sint Annenstraat was onvoldoende, met name in de donkere maanden. Storend tijdens het werk en voor de huisconcerten die we organiseren. Een nieuw lichtontwerp door Spot On geeft het kantoor de juiste lichtkwaliteit en maakt het visueel aangenaam. En de historische details van dit oudste stenen woonhuis van Amsterdam worden nu voor het voetlicht gebracht. Het NMF-kantoor is er weer geheel klaar voor musici en bezoekers te ontvangen.”

The briefing
The National Musical Instruments Fund is an organisation that lends musical instruments to talented musicians. The fund is based in Amsterdam’s oldest brick building, near the Oude Kerk.
The assignment: bring good working light.
The challenge
The wooden ceiling of the back room has 16th-century Renaissance paintings with elegant tendrils and arabesques (flower-like representations), which were hardly noticeable due to the heavy joists.
The result
Employees now have good, individually adjustable task light, also suitable for inspection of the instruments. Unique historical details are made visible by respecting the past and using reverse wall wash lighting technology.
